FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

1. In the first video her neck was made longer, and her eyes where moved a little bit down, her hair was smoothed out. The girls eyes where made bigger and so where her lips, and the face was a little bit pushed in, also her shoulders.

2. In the second video they made her neck longer and shoulders wider, and made her legs longer and changing her skin color. They also made her eyes a little bit bigger and tummy tucked her stomach then made her arms longer too. Her nostrils where made smaller.

3. In the third video the lady's short hair was made into longer hair, her shins where made to be skinny same with her thighs. It looks like the person smoothed out her skin from cellulite, her tummy was pushed in and her shoulders where widened.

4. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like these in a photo? Why or why not? I think it is okay but only a few small changed like smoothing out the skin mostly but not changing the whole appearance like making the neck longer or the eyes, or making the person skinner. It's not right to do that because that's what makes the person them, and people shouldn't be able to change that.

5. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation?

6. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't? Smoothing the skin out to looking better in the picture would be okay, but changing the person's body type is not okay, also making the eyes bigger or neck longer.

7. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism. Fashion photography is where you would only take portraits because it's of models for brands and company's, also where people do extreme photoshop to the models. With photojournalism people take pictures of anything and when people photoshop these pictures it's mainly cropping and changing the levels of the pictures and smoothing things out.

8. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each? Each photography both fixes the reality by changing things from the original picture it affects it because people only see the changed picture, not the original so people don't know the reality of it.

9. Why do you think I am showing you these three videos? So we know what photoshop can really do and understand what fashion photography is and what it does.

10. Why are none of these videos about guys??? Maybe in the fashion world they're saying guys don't need to be photoshopped.
