ARCHITECTURE PREVIEW

NAUTILUS HOUSE, MEXICO
1. Javier senosiain of Arquitectura Organica
2. Was built in 2006
3. It's located in Mexico city
4. It's a private house
5. I couldn't find any
6. A young couple with children was living in a conventional home and was tired of it and wanted to live in some that had to do with nature.
7. I picked this building bc it reminds of something from Alice in Wonderland, It's so unique and creative and weird but in a good way. The idea of it seems so crazy but the artictect actually made it work, with different levels and a working bathroom. The inside is crazy like it's outside, but actually inside, from the outside it looks a little small but it's really big on the inside. The bathroom looks the coolest to me, the spout for the shower looks like something from Dr.seus and the sink as well.

CUBIC HOUSES, NETHERLANDS
1. Piet Blom
2. 1977
3. Rotterdam, Netherlands
4. They're are private homes
5. I couldn't find any
6. Piet wanted to give the concept of "living as an urban roof"
7. I picked this place because of the name and then when i saw the houses i was intrigued. The idea of living in a cube, but also not really living in a cube is crazy, i want to know how he came up with the idea on the spot. The way they're lined up is the weirdest, it's like something from minecraft. From the outside they like gigantic and so fascinating, it makes me want to get inside a giant cardboard box and picture what it's like.

STONE HOUSE GUIMARAES PORTUGAL
1.
2. 1974
3. Guimaraes, Portugal
4. It's a private home, but the owner moved somewhere else because of the incoming visitors and vandalism.
5. I couldn't find any
6. It was inspired by the Flintstones cartoon
7. I picked this because of the Cartoon becoming a reality and how cool it is that someone thought to do this. When i read that it has a swimming pool and a working fireplace i was highly intrigued. It also reminds of Shrek the movie when Fionia went in the cave and moved  rock wall on the outside. It's so unique and strange looking but adorable at the same time, I would want to visit it someday.

1. SzotyƄscy & Zaleski
2. built in 2004
3. sopot, switzerland
4. It's a public building, welcomed to visitors
5. could not find any
6. It was inspired by a fairytale and drawings by Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg
7.  I chose this picture because it looked unreal, it was like i had to see it to believe it. I could't imagine what it would be like on the inside but this photo makes me feel like it came out of a Dr.Seus story. This house reminded me of the upside down house in Orlando, Florida.

SCULPTURED HOUSE

1. charles deaton
2. 1963
3. Genesee Mountain
4. This is a private home
5. I couldn't find how much it was to make
6. Charles was standing high on the mountain and loved how it connected with nature so he wanted to build something that reached high.
7. I picked his house because when i looked it up and saw how it was made it reminded me of the house in Charlie Angels and i thought it was very modern looking but also spacey looking. The fact that it looks like a taco with no straight angles or stiff arches gives it a really unique effect.
